December 2022 Journal Prompts

Somehow we’ve made it to the end of the year! I don’t know about you, but 2022 really flew by for me.

I love end-of-the-year journaling. Roundups, reflections, and highlights bring me great joy. I’m an enneagram 4 which means I spend a lot time in my own head thinking, reflecting, and FEELING. 😅 So you can see why I might thrive with these kinds of introspective journal prompts. I already spend so much time self-reflecting that having the excuse to write it out or create an aesthetically pleasing design for it is right up my alley!

So I decided to go full reflection for December! There are introspective prompts like #2: How are you? and #3: What gifts are you giving yourself this year? And some more general yearly roundup prompts like #6: 2022 media recap and #8: Lessons learned.

Of course I include a collage/holiday-themed prompt (#5) because I always like an excuse to use the Christmas-themed craft paper and stickers I’ve collected over the last few years.

If you’re like me, 2022 has been a difficult year so sometimes it can be hard to look back at everything that happened and what you did (or didn’t) accomplish this year. I hope you’ll take this opportunity though to try to tease out the good amid the chaos. What have you learned? How have you grown? Where did you find joy in spite of pain?

I find I’m always much stronger than I’ve given myself credit for, and I bet you are too. ❤️

Remember to use the hashtag #2022ImagineJournaling to share what you’re creating with me on Instagram. And I’ll be sharing my journaling creations monthly on my stories! Happy journaling! 🎉
